I’m so glad to have you here!
I want this space to be a breath of fresh air – a place to find inspiration, joy, and some fun along the way. I don’t like to take myself too seriously, and love to find the joy in life’s simple moments. A good matcha latte and a cute pair of socks are an instant remedy for a better mood! When I learn or try out something new, I can’t help but share it with family and friends – be it a new recipe I made that day, or a new skincare product I’m trying out! And so I’ll share my love for all these things here with you! I hope you find inspiration in fun DIY’s, recipes, nontoxic beauty, everyday style, local favorites (Sacramento based), and traveling tips!
Most importantly, my inspiration for this blog is Corinthians 10:31: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.”
The truth is, every good gift comes from above. Not only is God seen in the grandiose moments of our lives, but we can learn to live in gratitude and see Him in the everyday moments too. A delicious dessert you just enjoyed, a comfy pair of pants that fit just right, a breathtaking view of wildflowers in a valley – you can bring God glory in all of those things! Enjoy the life He has given you, and thank Him for it!

I live in Sacramento, California with my husband and best friend, Mike. On the weekends, we jump in our 4Runner and go for drives outside, even if it’s just to watch the sunset someplace new. We are foodies who love traveling together, finding eclectic small shops, and discovering our new favorite cafes and coffee shops. But our favorite thing is to be tourists in our own city and find new gems. We have been through mountains and valleys in our marriage, and God has truly grown us in our faith and relationship because of that. My husband truly is my biggest supporter, and I couldn’t ask for a better companion for life’s adventure!
Why “junebug?”
Well, firstly, my birthday month is June! I thought “Junebug Anj” would make it easier for people to remember my birthday, but somehow they still manage to forget it! Haha kidding! But, jokes aside, I love celebrating my birthday in the summer because I love the season of longer days and warmer evenings.
And secondly, growing up, my family would go camping every year in Southern California. It was a care-free time of long walks and jogs on the beach, eating tons of watermelon and ice cream, falling asleep to the sound of breaking waves on the shore, and making the best memories with the entire family. The campsite was always buzzing with Southern California’s large Green June Beetles flying around. So I can’t help but associate those shiny green June bugs with fondest of memories, traveling, sunshine, and happy moments. And that is exactly what I aspire to do with this little corner of the internet! To create a space where you feel more refreshed and more inspired after you leave. Welcome!
